September 16, 2017 - 8:00am Join the ninth annual Great Sierra River Cleanup in conjunction with California Coastal Cleanup day on September 16 starting at 8:00 a.m. Join hundreds of volunteers this day in cleaning up the Lake Tahoe region.
This year, the locations for clean up are:
Lakeview Commons/El Dorado Beach/Regan Beach — led by Clean Tahoe
Upper Truckee River from Elks Club to Highway 50 (cleanup from the water – must have your own boat or flotation device) — led by Clean Tahoe
Upper Truckee River at Cove East — led by Clean Tahoe
Meadow off Blackwood & Pioneer Trail — led by Clean Tahoe
Bring your reusable water bottle, gloves if you have them and friends! Refreshments and equipment provided. For a list of cleanup locations and to RSVP, go to tahoecleanup.wordpress.com.
