Putting a Garden to Bed Workshop at SLT Library

Join the Friends of the Library as we welcome the UCCE Master Gardeners of Lake Tahoe for an informational program on preparing a garden for the winter. After an inside "how to" session, we'll all head out to the Library's new BB's Garden to have a hands on demonstration. The Friends are looking for volunteers who would like to help maintain the library's garden, so in addition to be a workshop for all who want to learn gardening techniques for our unique Tahoe environment, this afternoon is also a training session for volunteers. The cooler weather makes fall an ideal season to spend some time in the garden. And you can settle in for winter knowing that when you look out the window, your garden will look contentedly tucked in. All thumbs are welcome.
