Bread & Broth to benefit from Tahoe Chamber's annual Connect for a Cause

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Bread & Broth, the local nonprofit tasked with feeding those in need on the South Shore, will be the beneficiary of the annual Connect for a Cause Charity Mixer on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Riva Grill in South Lake Tahoe.

Hosted by the Tahoe Chamber, the mixer will raise funds and gather food donations for the group's Bread & Broth 4 Kids program which gives away up to 170 bags of food each weekend to local school children in grades K-8.

Guests attending the event are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items. The B&B 4 Kids program is primarily looking for canned meals such as spaghetti and meatballs, beef ravioli, chicken noodle and vegetable soups, tuna, Mac n’ Cheese instant cups, fruit and applesauce cups, Cup of Noodles, boxes of instant oatmeal or "Hormel Compleats".

Bring a bag of these items to collect raffle tickets and be entered to win prizes. The more non-perishable food items you bring, the more chances you have to win. Please choose from only these items - things kids can prepare and enjoy.

Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase with all proceeds benefiting Bread & Broth.

This event also offers attendees exclusive relationship-building opportunities, a photo booth provided by Lauren Lindley Photography, as well as delicious appetizers and drinks, including the Riva Grill’s famous Wet Woody.

Early bird tickets are now available for $20 for chamber members ($30 for non-members) and will increase on the day of the event. Guests will receive one drink ticket and two raffle tickets with admission. To purchase tickets and learn more information about this event, visit www.tahoechamber.org.

Bread & Broth is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to ease hunger in South Shore community.
