Kudos: Bread & Broth thanks Tahoe Douglas Elk Lodge

Bread & Broth’s January 14th Monday Meal dinner was hosted by the Tahoe Douglas Elk Lodge #2670. “The Elk’s Club is once again happy to be able to help out with this worthwhile project,” commented Elk Lodge member J.J. Clause. “It is so wonderful to be able to serve those in our community who are less fortunate. From a 45-year resident, kudos for being an integral part of our community.”

The Elk Lodge has been an on-going partner in their support of B&B’s Adopt A Day (ADD) program. The club’s membership promotes and holds many events in our community which benefits those in need and B&B appreciates that the Club sponsors 2-3 ADDs annually to help B&B in our goal of easing hunger in our community.

At the January 14th sponsorship dinner, J.J. Clause was joined by fellow Elk Lodge members Roger Barragan, Roger Koeck and Steve Lannen who all pitched in to pack food ‘giveaway’ bags filled with fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, non-perishable food good, and bread and pastries. Additionally, they manned the serving line dishing out baked potatoes topped with chili, cheese and sour cream, and ended their service with the dinner’s cleanup.

B&B would like to thank the Tahoe Douglas Elk Lodge for choosing B&B to partner with to help others. B&B meals are served to anyone who comes to our doors. We welcome everyone, not just those who are less fortunate, to come and share a nutritious, full-course communal meal.
