A new high could be recorded this week in South Lake Tahoe

Temperatures continue to be well above normal in the Lake Tahoe Basin with dry conditions into early next week according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. Mild temperatures will make for a very nice weekend to spend outside.

The only weather change of note may be by Friday and Saturday, when some simulations indicate some cooling creeping in from the east as a system moves through the eastern Great Basin. The airmass would not be particularly cold as it would feature a Pacific source so even the colder simulations only push temperatures down close to average for the start of next weekend.

The long range forecast shows no precipitation.

There is still no rain or snow in the immediate forecast for South Lake Tahoe, and high temperatures expected may break some records again in the week ahead.
