Tahoe Chamber's After Five Mixer to raise funds for family of local business owner

Event Date:
February 23, 2017 - 5:00pm

There is more to this month's Tahoe Chamber's After Five Mixer than a great opportunity to mix and mingle with local business owners at the Beacon Bar & Grill on February 23. It is also a great chance for the community to offer support to former Tahoe Chamber Board Member, former Tahoe Douglas Rotary President and Getaway Reno Tahoe owner Todd Poth and his family.

The Poth’s five-month-old daughter, Ayah, is currently fighting the battle of her life at the Salt Lake Primary Children’s Hospital after undergoing open-heart surgery. In an effort to ease the family’s traveling and lodging costs, all proceeds of the event raffle will benefit the family (see her GoFundMe account here).

This all-inclusive social event offers the South Shore a chance to meet and mingle with local business owners, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Attendees will enjoy lakeside views while chatting over tasty appetizers and sip on The Beacon Bar & Grill’s famous Rum Runner. In addition to appetizers and drinks, raffle tickets will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

“One of the benefits of being part of the Chamber is the business to business relationship building,” said Director of Membership Services, Justin Sinner. “After 5 is an easy and fun way to take advantage of that benefit and create the relationships that will help your business survive.”

This event will be hosted by Camp Richardson at The Beacon Bar & Grill from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Beacon Bar & Grill is located 1900 Jameson Beach Rd., South Lake Tahoe. The cost for the mixer is $10 for members and $20 for aspiring members. Ticket price includes two drink tickets, appetizers, and a raffle ticket.
