Winter Storm Warning until to noon Thursday. Heaviest snow is expected before 8:00 a.m. where snowfall rates could briefly reach 2 to 3 inches per hour.
Wind Advisory from noon to 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

The following report is from reports at 7:30 a.m. Wind will be an issue at some resorts today so call ahead or follow the links provided to check on current conditions.

Weather - South Lake Tahoe will have a high today of 37 and a low tonight of 24. Today: Snow. High near 37. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Tonight: A 20 percent chance of snow before 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Heavenly - Powder. 24" New Snow in last 24 hours. Delayed opening due to weather. Open at 9:30 a.m. 100% of their terrain is planned to be open - 4800 acres, 27 of 28 lifts and 97 runs are open. Base depth is 85". Lift status. Snow, mainly before 10am. High near 32. Very windy, with a southwest wind around 50 mph, with gusts as high as 80 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Message from Heavenly-Please be advised that we will have a delayed opening this morning. We are scheduled to now open at 9:30am, please stay tuned. Mother Nature delivered TWO FEET of new snow overnight and it's still snowing! NWS Forecast - Snow, mainly before 10am. High near 32. Very windy, with a southwest wind around 50 mph, with gusts as high as 80 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Temperatures are ranging 13°-25° around the mountain. Please be advised that we are experiencing strong winds this morning and our team is working hard to open the mountain after receiving 2 feet of new snow, and we do expect some delays.

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Powder. 21" new snow. Delayed opening today. They plan to open at 9:00 a.m. with They plan to have 9 lifts open with groomed conditions on 27 of their open 41 runs. Six snow parks are open. Base depth is 48" to 100". Lift status. Snow showers. The snow could be heavy at times. Temperature falling to around 22 by 8am. Breezy, with a southwest wind 23 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
