Maddie Bowman and Jamie Anderson head to Olympic finals

Two South Lake Tahoe athletes are headed to the finals in their respective sports during the final week of the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang.

It was the debut of snowboard big air at the Olympics today, with 12 women advancing to the finals, including South Lake Tahoe's Jamie Anderson who landed cab double cork 900s in her second run.

Anderson won gold earlier in the Olympics during the slopestyle event, her second consecutive gold in the event.

Over on skis, Maddie Bowman is moving on to the final round of the halfpipe on Monday, February 19 at 5:30 p.m. PT. She is attempting to earn her consecutive gold medal in the event and currently sits in 6th place with a 83.60 and 83.80 during the qualifying round. Maddie fell during practice, hitting her back but able to get up without assistance. Team USA has three chances at medals.
