Olympic viewing schedule for Jamie Anderson and Maddie Bowman

Update Saturday: Looks like weather has caused a delay in Jamie's Slopestyle. Schedule shows it rescheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday in PyeongChang - 5:00 p.m. Sunday on the west coast. Sunday prime time coverage starts at 4:00 p.m.

Opening ceremonies were held for the 2018 Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea on Friday, and now the athletes hit a full schedule of events through February 25.

Two South Lake Tahoe area athletes are there representing the United States in events on the snow: Maddie Bowman on skis and Jamie Anderson on snowboard. Since PyeongChang is 17 hours ahead of South Lake Tahoe the actual Olympic schedule dates are ahead of our local time.

Maddie Bowman - Freestyle skiing (ski halfpipe

South Lake Tahoe: Graduate of South Tahoe High and grew up in Meyers while skiing at Sierra-at-Tahoe.

Maddie is the returning gold medalist after winning the inaugural event in Sochi in 2014. She has won seven medals in the last seven X Games and is coming off and amazing finish in Aspen last month where she scored 92 points on her winning run after landing back-to-back 900s.

Her event will air on NBC Feb. 18 and Feb. 19.

Maddie's ski halfpipe qualification runs will start on at 10:00 a.m. Feb. 19 South Korean time and will air on NBC Feb. 18 starting at 4:00 p.m. Finals are Feb. 20 starting at 10:30 a.m. their time. This event will air on NBC Feb. 19 between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Jamie Anderson - Snowboarding slopestyle/big air

Grew up in South Lake Tahoe/Meyers and also called Sierra-at-Tahoe home.

Jamie is the returning gold medalist from Sochi. She has won 13 X Games medals and is in South Korea after taking gold in slopestyle in Aspen. This year is the Olympic debut for Big Air, so Jamie will have two shots at medals.

Her events will air on NBC Pacific Time on Feb. 10, Feb. 11, Feb. 18 and Feb. 22.

Dates of events: February 11 (slopestyle) and February 19/23 (big air). Korean time for the qualifying races is 11:30 a.m. Sunday for slopestyle but airs Saturday night, Feb. 10, starting at 8:30 p.m. Pacific Time on NBC. Finals will air on NBC Sunday, Feb. 11 during their coverage from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Big air qualifying goes off 9:30 a.m. to 12:03 p.m. February 19 their local time, airing on NBC starting at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18. The final finals for Big Air will air on NBC Feb. 22 between 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. PT.
