Beach Boys, Boz Scaggs and Foreigner highlight MontBleu's concert lineup

Concert lovers don't have to wait for summer to enjoy big name acts in South Lake Tahoe. MontBleu announced the addition of Grammy-Award winning singer-song writer Boz Scaggs to their line-up of classic musicians performing in their showroom.

Known for his one-of-a-kind silky voice wrapped around soulful, often introspective lyrics and a trademark soul-jazz-rock guitar groove, Scaggs gained fame in the 1960s as a guitarist and sometime lead singer with the Steve Miller Band. In the 1970s Scaggs had several solo Top 20 hit singles in the United States, including the well-known hits "Lowdown" and "Lido Shuffle" from the critically acclaimed album “Silk Degrees.” He'll be in South Lake Tahoe over the Memorial Day weekend on May 23 and showtime is 9 p.m. Tickets are $55.50 and $65.50.

MontBleu's spring line-up starts off with the Beach Boys on March 27. The band is now comprised of founding Beach Boy Mike Love (lead vocals) and Beach Boy-vet Bruce Johnston (vocals/keyboards), Christian Love (guitar/vocals), Randell Kirsch (bass/vocals), Tim Bonhomme (keyboards/vocals), John Cowsill of The Cowsills (percussion /vocals) and Scott Totten (guitar/vocals). Showtime is 9 p.m. and tickets are $50-$60.

Their hit singles It’s a Long Way There, Help Is on Its Way, Happy Anniversary, Reminiscing, Lady, Cool Change, Lonesome Loser, The Night Owls, Take It Easy On Me, Man On Your Mind, We Two, and The Other Guy put the band at the top of the charts around the world from 1976-83 and they continue to enjoy success because of their songwriting skills, powerful vocals, and guitar harmonies. Showtime is at 9 p.m. and tickets are $42.50 and $52.50. Gary Mule Deer will be their opening act.
