Message from Sierra: Hope you got some squats in before bed last night, your legs are going to need all the help they can get today! Sierra received an estimated FOOT of new snow overnight and it's currently dumping at the base! The forecast is calling for up to another foot of snow to fall throughout the day, so come prepared with warm layers + low light lenses. We're getting started at 8:30 am this morning with 10 lifts + tows spinning, accessing 44 open trails, 31 cords, and 6 parks. Highways 50, 88, + 89 are ALL on chain control. PLEASE be careful driving up to the resort today by giving the drivers around you plenty of room and taking your time! Remember when chain control restrictions are in effect there is no passing and a 25 mph speed limit for your safety. This storm is very strong, which could mean variable conditions, so stay tuned in to http://www.sierraattahoe.com/mountain/conditions or call our snow phone at (530) 659-7475 for the must up-to-date mountain conditions. Conditions may be white out at times today, so bring a buddy and remember to wear your helmet!
