Snow Bike Championships at Hard Rock Tahoe

The final round of the AMA National Championship Series is coming to Lake Tahoe on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Hard Rock Casino Resort in their back parking lot.

Gates open at 1:00 p.m., practice starts at 2:00 p.m. and the race starts at 3:00 p.m. The race will end before 7:00 p.m. The awards ceremony will be held in Vinyl at Hard Rock from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Viewing ticket prices are free for kids under 5, $10 for ages 6-12 and $15 for adults.

The twisting, supercross style track will be constructed right at the back door of the Hard Rock Hotel and will be visible from a number of hotel room balconies and ground level viewing areas. The venue will feature: vendor area, music, snow bike demo rides, and the after-hours awards party. Friday night will be a pro-men’s and women’s only Dash for Cash event. Saturday’s AMA National event will feature pro classes for men and women as trophy classes for racers over 40, kids, and amateur men and women.

Snow-biking is a relatively new form of winter recreation, where a ski and a lightweight, high-performance track are fitted to modern, off-road motorcycle.
