Kudos: Choices For Children thanks community for caregiver breakfast

Choices for Children hosted its 25th annual Child Care Professionals Appreciation Breakfast featuring Early Childhood Education professors Lisa Daly and Miriam Beloglovsky on Saturday, April 1 at Lake Tahoe Golf Course. Fifty four child care providers came together to enjoy breakfast, raffles generously donated by the South Lake Tahoe Community, and an inspiring presentation on Using Loose Parts (alluring objects that children can move, manipulate, control, and change within their play) to Support Language and Literacy Development.

Lisa Daly and Miriam Beloglovsky have co-authored Early Learning Theories Made Visible, Loose Parts: Inspiring Play in Young Children, and Loose Parts 2: Inspiring Play in Infants and Toddlers with Redleaf Press. Loose Parts: Inspiring Play in Young Children is available for loan at Choices for Children Resource Lending Library open Monday – Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are located at 1029 Takela Drive, Suite 1.
