South Lake Tahoe lawyers celebrate opening of new office

The Law Offices of Adam T. Spicer and Lacey Van Etten invite the public to celebrate with them on Friday, April 27 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Spicer recently moved his practice and expanded office space by joining Van Etten in the office building located at 2269 James Ave.

Food, drinks and prizes will be available to guests, and the Tahoe Chamber will officiate a celebratory ribbon cutting in honor of the event. Located on the corner of Tahoe Keys Blvd. and James Ave., the building has a rich history as a law office and has been a fixture in the South Lake Tahoe legal community for nearly 30 years.

Spicer relocated to South Lake Tahoe and opened his own practice in January 2011, handling all aspects of criminal cases including evidentiary hearings, evidence suppression hearings, preliminary hearings, jury trials, court trials, asset forfeiture hearings and DMV license hearings. He is licensed to practice law in California and Nevada, and has appeared in courts in the following California counties: El Dorado, Placer, Nevada, Alpine, Lassen, Sierra, San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, Alameda, Santa Clara, Colusa, Yolo and Orange. He has also appeared in Nevada in Douglas County, Carson City, and Washoe County.

Van Etten is a proud native of South Lake Tahoe and graduate of South Lake Tahoe High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and went on to pursue her Juris Doctorate at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. After graduating from law school, Van Etten worked in South Lake Tahoe primarily practicing family law until 2008, when she decided to pursue a career opportunity in Washington DC. She returned to South Lake Tahoe in 2013 and practiced with William B. Cherry and Associates at the James Avenue location. Mr. Cherry recently retired and Van Etten remained at the same location, continuing to practice family law and estate planning (wills and trusts). Van Etten is licensed to practice law in California and Washington DC.
