A North Lake Tahoe security guard has been arrested on 134 fugitive warrants from North Carolina for more than 300 charges of Third-Degree Sex Exploitation of a Minor.
Just after midnight on Thursday, April 25, deputies from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call from the Crystal Bay Casino. Security guard Richard Britt called the deputies for assistance with an unwanted subject at the North Shore property.
During the course of the call, deputies ran a wants and warrants check on Britt and discovered that the General Court of Justice District Court of North Carolina had just issued 134 warrants for Britt the day before, on April 24, 2019. The warrants were related to 403 felony counts of Sex Exploitation of a Minor.
Britt was interviewed by Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives and booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility where he awaits extradition to Scotland County in North Carolina.
It is unclear at this time when the alleged crimes took place and when Britt starting working at the Lake Tahoe casino.
