Dispute at Lake Tahoe construction site; One transported via Cal Star, other by ambulance

5.1.20 UPDATE: In the morning hours of April 30, 2020, a group of construction workers were involved in a physical altercation at their job site at the new Tahoe Beach Club at the end of Kahle Drive. During the physical fight, a knife was produced and one male sustained major knife inflicted injuries to his head/face and he was transported to Renown Medical Center in Reno via Cal Star.

Another male suffered minor non-life threatening injuries and he was transported to Barton Hospital in South Lake Tahoe.

Both injured men were hospitalized, treated and released according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

All involved are from Incline Village and Reno/Sparks and were in the area for work only.

This investigation is currently ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.

STATELINE, Nev. - Two construction workers were involved in a dispute at the Tahoe Beach Club Thursday morning, sending one to the hospital via Cal Star with traumatic injuries.

Just after 9:00 a.m. April 30, emergency responders were called to the construction site of the new development at the end of Kahle Drive in Stateline. Upon arrival, they found one man with serious injuries to his face from a knife or blade.

Two helicopter crews were initially called, but just one was used to transport one of the men to Renown Medical Center in Reno, the other was transported to Barton Hospital in South Lake Tahoe.

According to Tahoe Douglas Fire Marshal Eric Guevin, the man with the "traumatic" injuries was able to get to the construction crew trailer where first aid was administered until their arrival.

It is possible more people were involved.

The job site is currently closed for an investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO). This is a developing story and no other information is available at this time. It is unknown at this time what type of knife, or how many, were involved.
