Granite Construction and Nevada Department of Transportation crews have made great progress on the bridge decks for State Route 28 shared use path project near Incline Village and the overnight closure scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, May 7, is not necessary.
Both directions of SR 28 will be closed between Lakeshore Boulevard in southern Incline Village near Tunnel Creek Café and Sand Harbor State Park from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. nightly during the following dates:
Road closed nights of May 14 and 15
The road closures are scheduled for overnight hours to reduce the impact on heavy daytime traffic. The closures are weather dependent and subject to change.
Construction related daytime single-lane flagger-controlled closures are Monday through Friday approximately 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and nighttime work Sundays through Fridays from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. with delays of 20-30 minutes, as necessary and weather permitting.
For safety, do not use or trespass on any section of the path. It is NOT open to the public until announced. The path is anticipated to open early July after final drainage, landscaping, paving and other finishing work is complete.
