Harrah's and Harveys host “Family Fun Festival” on 4th of July

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - After an epic winter, a spot on the beach to watch the annual Lights on the Lake fireworks show may be hard to find. Harrah's and Harveys are planning a party for the whole family in their outdoor arena and say "No beach, no problem!"

On Thursday, July 4 they are holding a “Family Fun Festival” with fireworks viewing starting at 2:00 p.m.

“We wanted to provide a fun and hassle-free way for families to celebrate Independence Day,” says Nicholas Breaux-Fujita, Regional VP Marketing for Caesars Entertainment in Northern Nevada. “With big crowds and limited beach space this year, a reasonably priced and fun-filled festival in the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys is a great way for the whole family to enjoy the holiday.”

Inside the Arena, families can enjoy all kinds of activities geared to appeal to all age groups. A wide variety of food and beverage items will be available for purchase, including traditional backyard barbeque favorites like hot dogs and hamburgers. Face painters and balloon artists will be delighting the youngsters, plus eight bounce houses, each designed for varying age and skill levels, provide the pre-pyrotechnic action all afternoon. All these activities are included in the price of admission. D-Js from Alice 96.5 FM in Reno will keep the vibes and the music going, broadcasting live from the Arena’s main stage.

Tickets are priced at $25 each, including fees, and are available through Ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets are also available at $20 each when purchased at the Harrah’s or Harveys box offices inside the casinos or at the doors. Tickets are on sale now while the supply lasts. Doors open at 2 p.m. “In and out” privileges are available to all ticketholders, all day.
