Man reportedly shot in South Lake Tahoe, authorities search for three suspects in SUV

A man was reportedly shot at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night in South Lake Tahoe, according to local police department dispatch via scanner.

The man was reportedly hit by "bird shot" in the back of the head and was said to be conscious. It was unclear if bullets penetrated the man's head or if he was hit by shrapnel. The incident happened in the 2600 block of Sussex Avenue. The suspects were said to have fled in a silver-colored SUV. They were identified as 2 to 3 white males, according to officers at the scene.
A phone call was left with the watch commander who was at the scene.
