A power outage in the Tahoe City area Wednesday morning left approximately 1,500 customers in the dark.
Crews from Liberty Utilities discovered a bad underground cable that needed to be replaced.
Most customers had their power restored by 12:10 p.m. but 96 customers will be without electricity until midnight as the cable is replaced.
