Stateline casinos to charge for parking during Summer Concert Series & special events

Harrah’s and Harveys Lake Tahoe announced today that they will start charging for those using their parking lots and valet services during concerts, special events and holidays.

Their new parking policy starts on June 30. It will cost $20 to self-park and $25 to use valet parking. Cash and credit cards will be both accepted for payment.

MontBleu Resort currently charges $10 for those parking during the Harveys' concerts, but that is returned to driving using the lot in the form of free play coupons. Hard Rock Tahoe also charges non-hotel guests $5 - $20 depends on the event.

“Guests who stay, game and recreate at our two Tahoe resorts have said that parking spaces and valet services have become increasingly scarce, especially during the summer, so we believe that implementing a paid parking program will help address these issues,” said John Koster, Regional President for Caesars Entertainment in Northern Nevada. “During the summer, tens-of-thousands of people visit the South Lake Tahoe area to escape the heat, especially when outdoor concerts and special events are happening, and our priority is to ensure that our hotel guests and Total Rewards loyalty members have priority when it comes to finding a place to park.”

Total Rewards loyalty members rated Platinum and above will continue to self-park for free. Complimentary valet will also be available for all Total Rewards loyalty members rated Platinum and above.

Effective dates include all days/nights when there is a concert or special event scheduled, including: concerts/events at Harveys Outdoor Arena; American Century celebrity golf tournament, July 11 – 16; and major holiday periods including July 1 – 4 and Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 1 – 4.
