Squaw Valley extends hours for skiing and riding

LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Escaping the recording breaking hot weather in the West this week is reason enough to visit Lake Tahoe but Squaw Valley has just announced another reason to visit: extended hours for skiers and snowboarders.

Beginning this weekend, June 24 and 25, Squaw Valley will be open for skiing and riding from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. These hours will remain for Freedom Fest, July 1-4, and will be complimented by free live music, parties, fireworks and more. For a complete schedule of events, click here.

After July 4, Squaw Valley plans to operate on Saturdays, as long as the snow lasts. Weather and conditions permitting, the resort will run lifts from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
