Tahoe Modern Makers is inviting the community, both locals and visitors, to the first day of their free Share a Smile campaign on Friday, July 7 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at their store located at 3668 Lake Tahoe Blvd in South Lake Tahoe.
"We normally do a different craft each week but we feel as if the "Share a Smile campaign is going to be big," said Debbie Carty. "We want the community to embrace randomly bringing a smile to a strangers face and what that can mean for a community."
Decorate a river rock and place one in the South Lake Tahoe area for someone else to find. Not only will they find a decorated rock, but they'll find a smile on their face too! On July 7 everyone will be using paints on the rocks, then other Fridays they'll be adding other elements including moonlight gel pens.
The new South Shore business offers a creative arts and crafts playground for all ages at their shop at the corner of Lake Tahoe and Ski Run Boulevard.
There will be free rock painting each Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a maximum of two rocks to paint each week.
Modern Makers will be holding their official grand opening on Monday, July 10 with discounts and a ribbon cutting at 5:15 p.m.
