Foothill Fire burning near Genoa Lakes Golf

7:15 p.m. update: Fire crews have halted the progress of the Foothill Fire in Douglas County near Genoa Lakes Golf Resort. Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center has updated the amount of acreage burned to 25 acres.
Winds in the area are still an issue and firefighters remain on the scene.

Th fire was reported at 4:10 p.m. Monday afternoon. Since then ground and air crews have responded and Jacks Valley Road is closed at Highway 395 and Foothill Road is closed at Genoa Lane.
