Lake Tahoe Historical Society 10th annual Garden Tour set for July 27

Event Date:
July 27, 2013 - 10:00am

The Lake Tahoe Historical Society will again present one of South Lake Tahoe’s most unique fundraising events at the 10th Annual Garden Tour on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. This year’s event will showcase the new gardens, fountains and tree carvings at Barton Memorial Hospital as well as 9 other stunning gardens around the community.

The beautiful Healing Garden at Barton Memorial Hospital was a gift to the community from Jessica Ledbetter in memory of her parents and sister. The Barton/Ledbetter families have supported both the Historical Society and the Hospital from their beginnings.

Refreshments and lunch, sponsored by Harrah’s/Harveys and Barton, are included with the Garden Tour ticket and will be served on the Patio at the hospital.

Tickets are $25 and are available for purchase at the Museum, 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd., or at our four Garden Centers, Aspen Hollow Nursery, Nel’s Garden Center, Sunbasin Landscape and Nursery and Tahoe Outdoor Living. All proceeds from the event benefit the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum.

Tickets are limited and advance purchase is encouraged. For more information, please call the Lake Tahoe Historical Museum at (530) 541-5458 or visit www.laketahoemuseum.org.

About Lake Tahoe Historical Society
In 1968, a group of volunteers gathered artifacts and established a small museum in the city of South Lake Tahoe. In 1983, the museum moved from our log cabin into the former county library where our 2009 remodel offers a fresh, new museum experience. The museum is operated by volunteers with a Board of Directors elected by members of the Historical Society and supported by donations, memberships and fund raisers.
