LimeBike, the newest in bike riding sharing, will kick off their South Lake Tahoe operations with a BBQ and ribbon cutting on Friday, July 14 at the Ski Run Blvd Farmer's Market from 4:00 p.m. t 5:30 p.m.
The San Mateo based business will have ten bikes prepared for people to try out along the boulevard between Outdoor Gear lab and the farmer's market. They'll have a booth set up with free food and drink, flyers and t-shirts.
An official ribbon cutting will take place at 4:30 p.m.
200 of the lime green bikes will be in South Lake Tahoe for a pilot program until October. Users download the LimeBike app on their smart phone, find a ride share bike, scan it with the app which opens the lock, and they ride away for $1 for 30 minutes.
