Sunny and warm week ahead in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Expect the hot and dry conditions we've been seeing to persist with breezy, zephyr afternoon winds through Tuesday. Warm days and nights in the week ahead with highs above average but not record-setting. The pattern begins to change on Wednesday as the jet stream shifts north. Unstable air could bring possible thundershowers Wednesday through Friday.
Forecast for South Lake Tahoe from the National Weather Service in Reno:
Monday - Sunny, with a high near 85. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Monday Night - Clear, with a low around 49. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night - Clear, with a low around 50. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening.
Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 52.
