Perini appoints new Douglas County Deputy Sheriff

Douglas County Sheriff Ron Pierini is proud to announce the recent appointment of a new Douglas County Deputy Sheriff.
Matthew Schlanger was sworn in on Monday, July 13, 2015 in a ceremony held at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Minden, Nevada.
The appointment comes as a result of several months of testing and evaluation consisting of a physical agility test, oral interview, extensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, polygraph examination, and medical exam.
Deputy Schlanger holds a Category 1 Peace Officers Standards and Training certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He will begin his career at Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in the Jail Division.
Deputy Schlanger worked for 7 years as an Officer for the Greensboro Police Department, Greensboro, North Carolina prior to this appointment as a Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy.
