Mark Mulder takes the lead at American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe

Could it be a three-peat at the American Century Championship over at Edgewood Tahoe? Former major league pitcher Mark Mulder moved into the lead during the back nine on Saturday. Mulder won the tournament in both 2015 and 2016.

The total purse for the championship is $600,000 with $125,000 going to the first place finisher.

Another retired pitcher, Derek Lowe, had the lead much of the day, but two double bogeys and a bogey in the five holes moved him down to a tie with former tennis player Mardy Fish.

The 28th annual tournament is a 54-hole modified Stableford format. Here are places one through 20 heading into Sunday's final round.
