Submitted by paula on Wed, 08/05/2015 - 4:21pm
Event Date:
August 6, 2015 - 8:00am
The community has had an opportunity all summer to meet with the South Lake Tahoe Police Chief, Lieutenants and Sergeants this summer during their "Coffee With a Cop" series which is held ever Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Starbucks near Stateline.
These meetings give locals and visitors the chance to meet the officers and help shape our policing efforts in South Lake Tahoe. People are encouraged to stop by and share what’s going on in your neighborhood, what you are concerned about, and of course they’re happy to hear good news as well.
On August 6, SLT Police Chief Brian Uhler will be at the Starbucks located in the Stateline Raley's parking lot.
The remaining events:
Aug 13 - Lt. Stevenson (patrol)
Aug 20 - Lt. Williams (detectives)
Aug 27 - Sgt. Laney (Code/Parking/Traffic)
During a recent coffee with Lt. Brian Williams about six people stopped by during the day as well as friends of his. He heard about everything from threatening neighbors to traffic enforcement. One of the locals to stop by was Jeanie Person who has lived in South Lake Tahoe since 1976. She brought along her dog Snickers and sat and chatted with Williams.
