Kudos: Bread & Broth thanks SLT Windjammers Yacht Club

Promoting power boating and sailing, and sharing the joy of being on beautiful Lake Tahoe, the South Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club is also committed to helping others in our community. This year, the club sponsored Bread & Broth’s (B&B) Monday Meal on July 29 and club members John Johnck, Steve Katzman, Diane Martin, Laura Rasmussen, and Carolyn Robinson crewed at the Club’s sponsorship dinner.

“I think the most gratifying aspect of helping at B&B is the grateful thanks that most of the patrons show to us, the volunteers,” shared Carolyn. “Also, the effective, organized system of those who lead the B&B dinner effort is extremely impressive. The donations of many local businesses make the whole well-oiled machine change disadvantaged lives for the better.”

Thanks to the help not only of the B&B volunteers but of the sponsor crew members, the Monday Meal does have a really positive impact on those partaking in the dinners.

Often, the meals served by B&B are the only hot and fully nutritious meal that the dinner guest have for the whole week. Being able to enjoy a delicious meal, spend time with friends and be treated with warmth and dignity, is very important in acknowledging the humanity in each of us.

Thank you to the South Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club and its members for joining Bread & Broth in easing hunger in our community.
