Cooler temps for Lake Tahoe Monday

A weak low pressure system will produce cooler temperatures Monday with a slight chance for showers and a few thunderstorms over the Sierra. High pressure off the west coast will keep a progressive shortwave pattern over California and Nevada through the week according to the National Weather Service. Slight warming trend possible with high pressure strengthening by Thursday or Friday.

Monday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 45. South wind 5 to 15 mph.

Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 78. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming northwest in the morning.

Tuesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 45. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening.

Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 79.

Wednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 46.

Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 83.

Thursday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 47.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 84.

Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 49.
