The Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board and the Alpine Watershed Group Meeting will be holding a public meeting on the West Fork Carson River Vision Project on Tuesday, September 10, 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.
They have identified that over 75 percent of the West Fork Carson River has pollutants at levels that exceed protective water quality standards. The planned project will use an innovative process that provides a more flexible approach to addressing water quality impairments. They invite all who love the Carson River to come learn about the process and how all can participate in guiding restoration and protection efforts in the watershed.
There will be a presentation by Cindy Wise of the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board/
The meeting will take place at the Woodfords Indian Education Center, Hung A Lel Ti, at 96 Washoe Blvd, Markleeville, Calif.
