Voters can now stay on top of issues and find out election news on Chamber website

The November elections are just 7 weeks away and the Tahoe Chamber has added tools to their website for local voters to stay informed.

The deadline to register to vote in California is 15 days before Election Day and 31 days before Election Day in Nevada if registering by mail. This resource is courtesy of a partnership between CalChamber and BiPacin an effort to increase voter registration, participation and knowledge of issues affecting voters’ communities.

To simplify the voting process, TahoeChamber has unveiled a new resource for voters, which is now available online at www.tahoechamber.org.

The page includes user-friendly tools and links to register to vote in California and Nevada, as well as information about local and state races. Simply enter your zip code and all the information for your community appears. The resource aims to educate and involve voters in the democratic process with the ultimate goal of making well-informed decisions on Election Day. TahoeChamber has provided tools voters need to not only learn more about elected officials and issues that matter to the South Shore community, but also to take the next step by making their voices heard and contacting their legislators. Visitors to the site may also brush up on their government 101 and read breaking political news among other features of the page.

TahoeChamber hopes South Shore residents will look to this site as a resource for further involvement and share it with family and friends.
