Lake Valley Fire Protection District seeking board member

There are two open seats for the Lake Valley Fire Protection District Board of Directors, and with only one candidate in the November 6 election, the Board is seeking nominees to fill the other vacancy.
Brian Hogan, an appointed incumbent, is the only person to file for the November 6 election. The current board is Chairperson Robert Bettencourt, Vice-Chairperson Dave Huber, Secretary John Rice and directors Leona Allen and Hogan. Huber is not seeking re-election.
The Board intends to interview and appoint a person to fill the vacancy on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at a Special Board Meeting beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the District Office, 2211 Keetak Street, South Lake Tahoe, Calif.
Applicants interested in the vacant position must be a resident of the District, submit an application that includes a statement of interest and a resume. Board meetings are held monthly.
Applications need to be filed with the Clerk of the Board, Kileigh Labrado, at the District office in person, by U.S. Mail, or emailed to larbrado@caltahoefire.net. All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Wed, Sept. 26, 2018.
