Another gas line break in South Lake Tahoe, evacuation order lifted

Update: All residents were allowed back into their homes approximately 30 minutes after being evacuated. Crews have fixed the broken two-inch gas line. Both South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue and Lake Valley Fire responded with Tahoe Douglas Fire taking city calls.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Emergency crews and the gas company are headed to the area of D Street, Dedi and Margaret streets at the Y in South Lake Tahoe for a gas line break Tuesday morning.
Evacuations are being ordered. Stay out of the area. D Street, Dedi Street and C Streets will all be blocked to access.
This is the second gas line break by contractors in the past two days.
