Two juveniles, one adult arrested in South Lake Tahoe felony burglary and robbery cases

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Two separate incidents of robbery and burglary on September 18 has led to the arrest of one 18-year-old and two juveniles.

The first call occurred at midnight. The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) responded after a woman in the 2000 block of Fresno Avenue said a 17-year-old Zephyr Cove resident, who was a former roommate, came to her front door. She refused to answer the door and the suspect climbed through the garage window to steal marijuana.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., SLTPD responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 3400 block of Spruce Avenue. Twenty minutes prior to that, a 25-year-old South Lake Tahoe man had been skateboarding home when he was approached by two subjects brandishing knives and demanded his backpack.

The victim said he was skateboarding home from a friend's house when he noticed a black colored SUV driving slowly past him and then reappeared later during his ride home. The victim decided to take a dirt bike path home to avoid the vehicle. While walking on the path, two males ran up behind him, according to SLTPD.

One of the males was wielding a knife and had his face covered with a black t-shirt. The males demanded the victim's property, but the victim refused to give it to them and held onto his backpack and skateboard tightly. The suspects punched the victim in the face and stabbed him in the back. When the victim yelled for help, some neighbors came outside. This caused the suspects to run off back towards their vehicle.

The victim's knife wound did not require medical attention, according to SLTPD Lt. Shannon Laney.

During this investigation, patrol officers located the suspect vehicle in the area of Lester Ave. Further investigation led to the arrests of Anthony Clot, an 18-year-old South Lake Tahoe resident, a 14-year-old male South Lake Tahoe resident, and a 17-year-old male Zephyr Cove resident, who was the same suspect from the earlier burglary/robbery on Fresno Ave.

Clot is currently in the El Dorado County Jail on $150,000 bail.

SLTPD said they believe these three males are suspects in at least two other robbery cases. Those investigations are still ongoing.
