The "pope of foam" to talk about beer at next UC Davis lecture in Incline Village

One of the most globally acclaimed scientists of the brewing industry will share his knowledge at the next UC Davis lecture in Incline Village.
Dr. Charlie Bamforth, a distinguished professor at UC Davis who specializes in beer and brewing, has been part of the brewing industry for nearly 40 years. He is in huge demand as a speaker, both within the world of brewing but also outside, and has appeared in venues as diverse as the Smithsonian Institute, BBC, Google, and National Public Radio. On October 13, he'll be in Lake Tahoe to share his knowledge, along with Alibi Ale Works beer tasting.
He was the star of an award-winning documentary "The Art and Science of Beer" and appeared in the Discovery Channel special "How Beer Saved the World." He was chosen as one of the top 20 professors changing the classroom in Playboy magazine.
Join Dr. Bamforth for a lively talk and special beer tasting in partnership with Alibi Ale Works at the UC Davis Tahoe Science Center located at 291 Country Club Drive in Incline Village, Nev.
Seating is limited, cost is $25 and includes beer tasting, and advanced registration is required. Must be 21 to taste.
