Professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones added to TEDx lineup in South Lake Tahoe

The world-famous Tahoe resident and big mountain rider Jeremy Jones will be speaking at this year’s TEDx South Lake Tahoe - Elevating Humanity on October 19 at Lake Tahoe Community College. To commemorate this announcement organizers have released another 25 tickets for the event.

Jones is not only known for riding some of the most technical, treacherous mountains ever accessed, he also helped found the non-profit group 'Protect Our Winters' which works to reduce the effects of global climate change by means of educational, activist, and community-based projects. He is also the founder of his own freeride-oriented snowboard brand, Jones Snowboards.

Tickets for the 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. event are $75 each for live viewing in the Duke Theatre. There are also live stream tickets available for viewing from the Lisa Maloff University Center or $25 which includes a drink ticket and appetizers.
