Strong winds, rain and chance of snow all in Lake Tahoe forecast

Expect a week of changes.
The week ahead in Lake Tahoe will seem a wide spectrum in weather from sunny and near 70 to high winds and a chance of snow.
There is a lake wind advisory in effect from 11:00 a.m. Thursday to 5:00 a.m. Friday for Lake Tahoe. Winds will be from the southwest 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Waves on the lake will be 2-4 feet from mid-lake to eastern shores. Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve.
The big news is a chance of snow. The Lake Tahoe Basin could see up to .50 inches of rain and a few spots above 7500 feet could receive up to 6 inches. Snow is forecast to come down to 6000 feet but with little to no accumulation.
The forecast from the National Weather Service in Reno:
Tonight - Mostly clear, with a low around 35. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
Thursday Night - Rain, mainly after 11pm. Low around 35. Breezy, with a southwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday - A chance of rain and snow showers before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Friday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 24. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 58.
Saturday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 30.
Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 67.
Sunday Night - Clear, with a low around 30.
Monday - Sunny, with a high near 69.
Monday Night - Clear, with a low around 31.
Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 69.
Tuesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 31.
Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 69.
