SLT Police Officer Officer Mark Hounsell and wife laid to rest

Hundreds of mourners attended the memorial service for South Lake Tahoe Police officer Mark Hounsell and his wife Jeanne on Saturday at the LifePoint Church in Minden, Nev.

An large crowd of family, friends and law enforcement paid their respects both along the route from the funeral home in Carson City to the church and at the church.

Mark, 42, and Jeanne, 34, died in a single vehicle rollover crash on Saturday, October 17 on Highway 50 near the town of Fallon. Also in the SUV was a family friend from Illinois, 33-year-old Laura Fisher, who also died at the scene.

Surviving the crash were Mark Hounsell's four children. A "Go Fund Me" account has been set up for the kids, ages 4 to 14. As of Saturday night, over $85,000 has been raised.
