Honor-a-Hero-Hire-a-Vet, Veterans only job fair is a great opportunity for veterans. The event is sponsored by SMUD and EDD and open to all El Dorado County veterans. Last year, 117 businesses participated with the sole purpose of hiring veterans. The majority of these firms do business in El Dorado County. This regional job fair is a big deal and a “must attend” if you're a veteran seeking employment. Transportation provided by the El Dorado County Veterans Affairs Commission.

In partnership with the Employment Development Department, California Community Colleges, California Department of Veterans Affairs, California Labor and Workforce Development Agency, Department of Industrial Relations-Apprenticeship Standards, SETA, SMUD, SAHRA, and DeVry University, and various federal, state, local, and private organizations within Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and El Dorado counties.
