Brews, Boos and Benefit for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October isn’t all about ghouls and witches. This spooky-themed month is also known as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On Wednesday, October 30, Live Violence Free is South Lake Brewing Co. to bring a fun-filled evening to the community while also bringing awareness to domestic violence and how to prevent it.

From 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., join them for a family-friendly event filled with arts and crafts for the kids, a costume contest and trivia for the family, an information booth to spread awareness on domestic violence, and fun prizes for all ages!

5:00 p.m. - Grabs your kids to decorate paper pumpkins for Live Violence Free’s Peace Portrait

6:00 p.m. - A costume contest for all categories and ages. Categories include Best purple-themed costume for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Best Kid’s Costume, Best Dog Costume, and Best Couple’s Costume. Prizes for each winning category.

6:30 p.m. - Trivia for Treats! Tonight’s trivia questions will range from Halloween-themed quizzing to domestic violence facts and knowledge. There will be three rounds of fun with prizes for each winning team. Teams are four or fewer.
