Submitted by Editor on Thu, 11/29/2012 - 9:49pm
The South Lake Tahoe Fire Department would like to remind residents that sand bags are available at Fire Station 3 located at 2101 Lake Tahoe Boulevard (near the “Y”) and at Bijou Park located at 1201 Al Tahoe Boulevard. There is no cost for the sand bags and residents are limited to ten (10) sand bags per household.
To pick-up your sand bags at Fire Station 3, access the rear of the property from James Avenue. At the back of the station is a large sand mound and residents can fill their own bags. Bags and shovels are located in a bin next to the sand mound.
For Bijou Park, the sand mound and bags are located at the back loop parking area; nearest disc golf hole #1.
For more information, please contact Fire Station 3 at (530) 542-6163.
