New executive director announced for Live Violence Free

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Live Violence Free (LVF) has announced the hiring of a new executive director. Debra Dyason has joined the South Lake Tahoe-based non-profit tasked with promoting a violence-free community.

Debra brings 20 years of expertise as a senior non-profit leader, funder, public policy advocate, and recent Executive Director of a domestic violence and sexual assault agency (First Step of Wichita Falls, Tex.). Debra is passionate about empowering survivors so they can lead their best lives free from violence and abuse.

“I am honored to join the LVF team and excited by all LVF has accomplished. I look forward to building on their remarkable track record of success to create a community free from violence,” said Debra. She grew up in New York and was most recently in Texas.

Outside of work, Debra enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and sailing.

Live Violence Free welcomes the community to tour the agency and meet Debra at the annual Walk the Halls of LVF happening on Thursday, December 12 from 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. at Live Violence Free, 2941 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Refreshments and light treats will be provided.
