Sierra Resort at Lake Tahoe opens mountain top to bottom and West Bowl on Saturday

With the support of multiple Lake Tahoe and Sierra early-season snowfalls, including 24 inches in the past two days, and plenty of cold weather days and nights, Sierra Resort will open top to bottom, including West Bowl, on Saturday, Dec. 15.

West Bowl offers long cruisers and intermediate to advanced runs, along with unbeatable views of Pyramid Peak and Desolation Wilderness. Beginners to experts now have the opportunity to enjoy over 2,212 feet of vertical terrain, three terrain parks, and lessons for all ages and ability levels.

Along with new terrain opening this Saturday, the 360 Smokehouse BBQ, located at the top of the mountain next to the Grandview chairlift, will open for the season as well. With a smoker located at the top of the mountain, the aroma of fresh BBQ is sure to entice skiers and riders to indulge in traditional BBQ favorites such as brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, and more. The on-hill dining experience also offers one of the best views of Lake Tahoe in the entire Lake Tahoe basin.

Season passes are still on sale, starting at just $239, and one of the only season passes still available for purchase at such a great value. Lift tickets are $79 for adults (23-64), $69 for young adults (13-22), $53 for seniors, and $21 for children (5-12). Enjoy new snow, new terrain, and some tasty mountaintop BBQ at northern California’s closest major ski resort.
