South Lake Tahoe police investigating death of 61-year-old man

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) is investigating the death of a 61-year-old local man.
Just before noon on Monday, December 16, officers were called to a home in the 1000 block of Lodi Avenue on the report of a deceased person. Upon arrival they found Jorge Lemus Campos dead in the home.
A portion of Lodi Avenue was closed for the afternoon and into the night as officers investigated Campos's death. SLTPD was joined by the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office and District Attorney's office.
SLTPD Lt. Shannon Laney said they do not believe there is an immediate threat to the community at this time.
The exact cause of death is pending an autopsy and the circumstances are . under investigation.
