South Lake Tahoe ski, snowboard and weather report for Tuesday

The following is the ski, snowboard and weather report for Tuesday, December 22, 2015 for South Lake Tahoe brought to you by Lake Tahoe SkiBum.
9:20 a.m. Update: Both Sierra and Kirkwood are closed and Heavenly has open: Boulder and Stagecoach in Nevada. The Tram, Gunbarrel, Patsy's, Groove, First Ride, and Powderbowl Express in California. They are evaluating all lift operations this morning due to wind. The Gondola is on wind hold as of 9:20 am.
Weather - Winter Storm and flash flood warning until 10am today. Lake wind advisory remains in effect until 10pm. South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 42 and a low of 29. Today: Rain and snow. High near 42. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Tonight: Rain and snow showers likely, mainly before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible,
Heavenly - Powder conditions. 79% of their terrain is now open which means 3800 acres, 26 lifts and 92 runs are open. 36" new snow in the last 24 hours. The base depth is 52". Lift status. Snow. High near 36. Strong and damaging winds, with a west wind 55 to 60 mph, with gusts as high as 95 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Special statement from Heavenly: We received 36" of new snow over the past 24 hours around the mountain! We are currently evaluating lift operations, but we do expect some holds and delays this morning as our team is digging out and getting the mountain ready. It is very windy again today, which is also likely to impact lift operations. So please stay tuned for updates.
Sierra-at-Tahoe - Closed as of 7 am. We will update if opening. Lift status. Snow before 10am, then snow showers after 10am. Temperature falling to around 31 by 3pm. Southwest wind 18 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Kirkwood - Closed. 37" new snow in the last 24 hours. Lift status. The base depth is 50". Snow before 11am, then snow showers after 11am. Temperature falling to around 30 by 4pm. Southwest wind 18 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
