With the increasing number of people wanting to shop, eat, enjoy music or stroll at the Heavenly Village, parking has always been an issue. With skiers using the Gondola in the village to access Heavenly Mountain Resort, parking is ever more of an issue. The City of South Lake Tahoe's parking garage has always been available, and they've added a special evening cost of just $5 after 5 p.m.
Another option for parking has opened behind Raley's at the Village Center near Stateline. Parking in this lot was once for Heavenly Village employees, but is now open to everyone for a fee.
During the winter it is $10 for all day parking from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., making it a popular choice for both skiers and shoppers. This past off-season it was $5 all day.
Free parking at Harrah's and the other casinos is also an option, though those parking lots fill up quickly with both skiers and those visiting the casino corridor.
