Al Tahoe Boulevard will be closed from Johnson Boulevard to Pioneer Trail except for those living in the Murietta Drive/Pioneer Village area from one hour prior to the start of music each night to approximately one hour after. This is to ensure safety of pedestrians walking to/from the festival and to one of the dozens of shuttles that are staging in the Bijou Community Park area. The Bijou Dog Park will be closed until January 1, 2020.

Neighborhoods off of Johnson Blve., including Marlette Circle and Pioneer Village, are closed to off-site parking and only the residents with permits will be allowed to park there. There is also no parking allowed near South Tahoe Public Utility District on Meadowcrest Dr., and the streets in that area. Some parking is available at South Tahoe Middle School but it is recommended attendees use the shuttles, public transportation or taxis, Uber and Lyft.

To address concerns of noise from the festival, the City of South Lake Tahoe is continuing its hotline. The hotline takes recorded messages but is monitored: 530.542.6001. They also have a website at http://www.cityofslt.us/699/SnowGlobe. They have an online complaint form there as well.

Sound is monitored and the public can view those daily results on the above website. How it's measured:

A weighting - The most common weighting that is used in noise measurement is A-Weighting. Like the human ear, this effectively cuts off the lower and higher frequencies that the average person cannot hear.

LAPeak(max) dBA The Peak, referred to as the Lpeak or sometimes Lpk - The maximum value reached by the sound pressure. There is no time-constant applied and the signal has not passed through an RMS circuit or calculator.

LAS This is the contracted dB level for the festival - LAPeak, The highest sound level observed in the last 24 hours of monitoring.

A comprehensive Waste Management Plan has been implemented including an increase in the number of trash receptacles inside and around the venue. Recycling containers will be on-site as well as refillable water bottles and water refill stations to reduce the amount of plastic bottle waste. If you have trash concerns, a new hotline has been established for you to call or text: (802) 391-0066 from 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. daily. For other trash concerns email marina@wastefree.earth
